In the last 48 hours I have tried to mentally psych myself up for the Paleo diet, which reduces my carb intake, or literally my ability to just eat when I want. I'm not looking forward to anything but the recognition of food for science, to become healthy and a train with lot's of fuel.
I have had a very poor diet since I'm young. I grew up in an italian pizza restaurant, and all I want to eat every day to this day is pizza and icecream. Mentally, that's what makes me happy. My body on the other hand, needs some structure and for the right things to be put into it before my habits cause scary illnesses.
I don't eat well like I said, but I do manage to keep my ailments at bay with a nutrition shake made by reliv. I can't wait to see how reliv can enhance my daily performance when it's not battling my unhealthy foods that I put in all the time. I like reliv, but I can't seem to break the old needs for bad food.
Being a personal trainer put the pressure back on me for staying in shape. It's very possible to get in shape with the use of bad food. It's the worst way that you can fuel yourself, and handle strength or agility training. I know I'm my own worst enemy when it comes to hydrating myself and feeding myself bad foods like ice cream. I'm honest though, my journey will be made clear in working towards understanding what I am supposed to use my food for, and not how I like it when I want it.
This is going to be a great journey for me. To gain strength and agility, for my boxing training, and to gain healthy for my future. The Paleo diet is a good book with principles towards eating no-processed and no to low carb foods. I go with the athlete book, since my body needs the Carbs for recovery and energy. So here goes, wish me well...this is not going to be easy....tbc
